Securing Linux with Linux

Security Modules System security is increasingly important as the number of attacks continues to rise, and new software security vulnerabilities are discovered regularly. The Linux Security Modules (LSM) project addresses system security by providing the Linux kernel with a general purpose framework for access control. This framework enables developers to create loadable kernel modules which enforce enhanced access control models. LSM strives to provide the necessary infrastructure to enable widespread deployment of security hardened systems. This presentation covers the design and implementation of the LSM framework, and reviews the security modules that have been ported to the API.
